Terms & Conditions
Effective October 2025
Thank you for choosing TL Tutoring! Please review the following policies carefully. By booking and paying for sessions through our website, you agree to the terms below.
1. Scheduling, Payment & Reminders
-
All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance through www.tltutoring.org. We accept credit/debit cards and secure payment methods provided on our website.
-
Clients will receive automatic session reminders via email, text, or both, the day before and day of their scheduled session.
-
Services will be paused if any payment is overdue.
2. Session Types: Online & In-Person
-
Online Sessions: Students must have reliable internet and a working device. If internet issues or emergencies happen on the client’s end, time can be added to a future session or the session may be rescheduled.
-
In-Person Sessions: Sessions are held in mutually agreed-upon public spaces, typically a local library. Tutors do not travel to private residences. Travel time is considered when scheduling.
3. Cancellations, No-Shows & Emergencies
-
No-Shows: If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late to a scheduled session, it will be considered a no-show and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
-
Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 12 hours in advance to avoid being charged.
-
Late cancellations (less than 12 hours) and no-shows will not be refunded or credited.
-
If TL Tutoring cancels a session due to emergencies or conflicts, clients will receive a rescheduled session or a session credit.
-
Emergency situations will be handled with flexibility and fairness.
4. Session Conduct, Communication & Boundaries
-
Students are expected to arrive on time, focused, and prepared with necessary materials.
-
After each session, a brief summary may be provided, especially for parents or guardians, through email or text. This applies to both in-person and online sessions upon request.
-
Clients and students must be respectful and professional. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may lead to service termination.
5. Privacy, Responsibility & Policy Updates
-
TL Tutoring maintains confidentiality for all clients. Personal and academic information is never shared without written consent.
-
Tutors are not responsible for academic outcomes (e.g., grades, test scores), but provide the best support and guidance to help students succeed.
-
Any violations of these policies may result in the client being blocked from the website and all future services.
-
TL Tutoring reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of updates via email or the website.
